PRESIDENTS REPORT: - Annual General Meeting Sunday 31st August 2014

Welcome to you all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to be here at our AGM, this meeting needs to take place each year as you all know, so once again, I thank you for being here.

As it is each year this club would not run and achieve the things that we achieve without the help, input and commitment of our strong executive, entire committee and dedicated instructors. It has been a pleasure to work with you all this past year.  And I would also like to add that without our members who also do contribute to the running of our great club, without all of you we wouldn’t have this great club.  WELL DONE!!

We have once again throughout the year run many very successful trials, in Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Track and Search and Retrieving. To all those members that have achieved with there dogs and put in the effort and dedication it takes to get our dogs to these levels of achievement, congratulations. I am positive without a doubt that the year ahead will be even more successful and fun than this. Good luck and continue to enjoy your dogs.

You will have all seen that our new clubhouse is well and truly on the way to completion, we have had much positive involvement and contribution from LCC also many donations from some very kind members, patrons Animal Medical Centre, Rosemary Armitage and organizations, towards this project. To fully complete this great project however, we still need to put in a kitchen, disabled toilet, line the inside, cover the floors, put on the verandahs, landscape the grounds and have a security fence erected around the entire clubhouse. We also need to fit it out with many new necessary inclusions, i.e. air conditioning, video screen, TV etc., Any donations would be very gratefully received, nothing is too small, every dollar helps. Also any trade that you may have, that you may think could help, please just come forward. We are hopefully that our new clubhouse will be open and operational in the very early New Year.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the LCC for keeping our grounds in the beautifully manicured condition they do.  We are so lucky to have the privilege of being able to train and trial our dogs on such beautiful grounds.

Should I have the privileged of being re elected, as Club President, for another term, my vision for the future would include, striving to increase membership, holding indoor seminars, on subject such as health and owner awareness of our dogs, training etc.,. Instructor Training Courses, Ever increase our knowledge on the most positive ways of dog training and the implementation of an under cover Puppy Training area.

Thank you all for giving me the honor and pleasure of implementing my role as Club President. I have thoroughly enjoyed the past year and look forward to another successful term.
